I've just replaced Suntour XCM fork (weight: 2.8kg) of my Norco Storm with rigid Salsa Firestarter (1.2kg). Front tyre was replaced with my favourite one Conti Mountain King II folding 29x2.4. The bike has become much ligther (12,8kg), and I don't have any problems with suspension service now.

Norco Storm: My First 29er
I've just bought my first 29er! My dream came true, and now I have my own hardtail with big wheels. This is 2017 Norco Storm 9.2. Good frame but very cheap components. Some of them I will replace right today, some during winter...

Strava Sum Up Commute Rides App
I ride my bike nearly every day. Many of my rides are commute. Unfortunately Strava interface doesn't support summing up commute mileage separately from other bike rides, that's why I've built a simple App (My Strava App). Now you can compare your commute mileage to total mileage.

Colt Element Rim Crack
During the first training day of YalgoraRace Enduro 2016 my Colt Element 27.5 rim had failed. I didn't have any crashes and I didn't hit the wheel much. I've noticed a crack when I was putting a bike in my car.

RockShox Monarch R Repair
After muddy November XCO race I've noticed an air leak of my Norco Sight's rear shock RockShox Monarch R. Total ridden distance of my bike was 1700km.
The shock was loosing air pressure during riding. There was no air leaking while the bike is not in use. I've desided that the problem was in shock seals, so I've immediately ordered new seal kit from ChillenGrillen bike store.
When the seals were changed and I began to assemble the shock, I've noticed deep scratches on the shock's rod:

Over 120km on the Ice of Lake Onega
Last saturday I've rode more that 120km on the ice of Lake Onega. In fact, this ride was much harder than 200km on a singlespeed road bike.

XCO Race, November 8th 2015
While my Norco Sight is not a cross-country bike, I had decided to take part in XC race to check my stamina.
The race took place in a forest near my city. The race lap length was 6 km and there were lots of mud, roots and dirt. There were 3 laps in a race with race time of a leader approximately 1h 3m. My time was +5 minutes.
3rd place in a local XC race is a very good result for me!
My rear shock (RockShox Monarch R) had failed after this muddy race. It doesn't keep air pressure now. I need a new seal kit for RS Monarch R, and will write about it in my next post.

Norco Sight: New Seatstay!
One month ago I've written a post about Norco Sight Rear triangle issue and during YalgoraRace Enduro I was inspecting my bikes seatstay before every stage. During the race the crack was becoming more and more visible but the frame didn't snap. After the race I've left my bike at LBS for warranty replacement.
